Most recently, Stalcup awarded the Alan Stalcup Scholarship to Tony Phan, a third-year medical student at UT Tyler School of Medicine. A U.S. Air Force veteran and first-generation college graduate, Phan is known for launching two impactful service initiatives—Prescribing Smiles and Courage to Care—which focus on holistic care and veteran-centered health education.
