Abigail Murray Is Building a Future Focused on People and Opportunity

BUFFALO, NY — The Alan Stalcup Scholarship is proud to recognize Abigail Murray, a University at Buffalo student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources and Labor Relations.

Abigail hopes to build a career in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or Workforce Development, helping organizations create workplaces where people feel valued, supported, and given meaningful opportunities to succeed.

Her education is already being strengthened by real-world experience. During an internship with Nassau County Human Resources, Abigail gained hands-on experience with onboarding, personnel processes, and civil service procedures while seeing firsthand how HR decisions can impact employees.

Outside of the classroom, Abigail also co-founded Compassion Champions, a youth-led nonprofit that works with shelters across New York to support children and families experiencing housing insecurity. Through her education, professional experience, and community service, Abigail is developing a leadership philosophy centered on listening, understanding, and creating opportunities for others.

The Alan Stalcup Scholarship is proud to support Abigail as she continues her education and prepares for a future in Human Resources leadership.
