AUSTIN, TEXAS – September 2025 — The Alan Stalcup Scholarship is proud to recognize Jacob Martinez as its newest recipient. Jacob, a student at Central Catholic High School, has distinguished himself through his academic focus, athletic passion, and commitment to making a positive impact in his school community.
For Jacob, this scholarship represents more than financial support. “This scholarship shows people believe in me. It helps take stress off my family, and it gives me the chance to focus on school and keep working toward my dreams,” he shared.
As a high school student, Jacob is already demonstrating the values that the Alan Stalcup Scholarship was created to uplift. He is dedicated to excelling academically while also pursuing his love for baseball, using sports as a foundation to develop discipline, teamwork, and leadership. Looking ahead, Jacob hopes to continue preparing for college while making meaningful contributions to his school and peers.
Alan Stalcup, Principal of GVA Real Estate Group and founder of the scholarship, emphasized:
“When students like Jacob share that this scholarship helps them feel supported and believed in, it reaffirms why this program exists. Scholarships aren’t just about funding education—they’re about investing in the potential of young leaders who will shape the future.”
